Welcome to the Rockhampton Water Polo website. Our organisation offers water polo fun for the whole family through our Flippa Ball, Secondary Schools, and Open competitions. We always welcome new players; no experience is needed to play as our organisation provides opportunities for you to learn the game. We regularly send teams away to competitions around Queensland, catering for those who have advanced skills. Volunteers and referees are also always needed and welcomed!
All of our youth competitions are held at the Rockhampton Grammar School Pool (Archer Street). Our Thursday night open competition is temporarily relocating to the Grammar School Pool (Archer Street) while Northside Pool renovations are finished.
Our Flippa Ball competition allows primary school aged children the chance to play a modified version of water polo, primarily within the shallow end of the pool. In exciting news, it is moving to Northside pool to be run jointly by Rockhampton Water Polo and Aqualification, which will allow the competition to grow and develop. The new competition will be launched Term 1, 2017, so start training now!
Our secondary schools competition runs on Monday nights during Terms 1 and 4. If you are interested in playing and your school does not have a team, please contact Rockhampton Water Polo as we can help you join an existing school team.
Our open competition allows adults of all ability levels and more advanced secondary school players to compete in a fun, social environment. Run on Thursday nights between October and April, players are organised into teams which encourage friendly competition. You can bring your own team (e.g., corporate, social group) or can join in with one of Rockhampton Water Polo's teams. New members are always welcome to join throughout the season.
For more information about any of our competitions, please contact Rockhampton Water Polo via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling our club president Toni Jepson at 0411768874.
